HOW CAN STUDENTS AND
EARLY CAREER PROFESSIONALS GET INVOLVED?
REGISTER INTEREST IN SUPPORTING OUR NEW INITIATIVE ‘QUEERS & EARLY CAREERS’
Launching on QSD2026, Queers & Early Careers is a brand new initiative which will work closely with, and learn from, LGBTQ+ students across the UK as they share their experiences of the world of work and what they need from student employers to thrive in their transition from education into employment.

SUPPORT OUR ‘ACTIVE ALLIES’ SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
On THURSDAY 5th FEBRUARY join LGBTQ+ students and early career professionals across the UK as we ask them to ‘activate their allies’ by sharing posts on social media which tell the allies in their lives how they can stand more strongly in solidarity with them and other students across the UK.
This year QSD2026 will also be happening on ‘Time To Talk Day’ - we will be encouraging LGBTQ+ students to also share their mental health experiences on social media to support this important day hosted by Mind charity.

NOMINATE IN OUR ‘CONTENT CREATOR’ AND ‘BRAND ADVOCATE’ QSA2026 CATEGORIES
LGBTQ+ students and early career professionals will be able to nominate their favourite content creators and brand advocates when entries for these two new QSA categories open.
The CONTENT CREATOR OF THE YEAR shortlist will be put to a national student vote. There will be no judges for this category - only UK students voting will decide the winner.
Brands nominated for BRAND ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR will be judged by some of the previous QSA2025 finalists and winners who will be joining the judging panel this year.
NOMINATIONS FOR BOTH CATEGORIES WILL OPEN ON THURSDAY 5TH FEBRUARY.

STUDENT EMPLOYER?
Student employers interested in engaging LGBTQ+ students and their own LGBTQ+ apprentices, interns and graduates with QSD2026 can CONTACT US to access to our comms kit.
WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR STUDENT SELF
LGBTQ+ professionals (above entry level*) are invited to write a letter to their student self. The contents of the letter are completely up to you, but we encourage you to use this opportunity to reflect upon your career experiences to date and to ‘send a message of hope back in time’ that today’s LGBTQ+ students could also benefit from. We will publish the letters we receive on this website on National Queer Students Day.
IF YOU’D LIKE TO WRITE AND SUBMIT A LETTER TO US GET IN TOUCH.
*entry level refers to apprentices, interns and graduates
