QSD SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

ACTIVE ALLIES

#QSD2026

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO TELL THE ALLIES IN YOUR LIFE HOW THEY CAN STAND IN STRONGER SOLIDARITY WITH YOU AND OTHER LGBTQ+ STUDENTS

We will then share what we learn with student employers in the UK to help bridge the gap between what LGBTQ+ students need and what the world of work currently offers them

Not sure what to share?

Use this as an opportunity to be honest about how you feel and what you need from your allies:

  • Share some ‘Top Tips for Allies’ that are personal to you and/or apply more broadly to the LGBT+ community

  • Share some photos and videos of your allies standing in solidarity with you - this could be a chance to say ‘Thank You’ to them

  • Share feedback on when allies ‘get it wrong’ and what they could do instead

  • If you feel brave enough, record a video which shares your experiences of when allies haven’t stood in solidarity with you

BRAVE THE BIG TALK

This year Time to Talk Day is also on 5 February 2026.
It's the nation's biggest mental health conversation. A chance to listen, share, and talk about what really matters.

This Time to Talk Day, we’re encouraging you to brave the big talk – and have conversations about mental health experiences that might still feel a bit unspoken.
